I like to knit dishcloths between larger knitting projects. They are great to take on longer car rides and to work on at seminars. I have some friends who like plain white ones so they can put them in a hot, bleach load of laundry. I prefer the colors, but the color washes out pretty fast.
when I make dishcloths for gifts for bridal showers I will do a couple white and a bright colour one just to make the set look a little brighter which they seem to enjoy. Family gets coloured all the way and I always make myself coloured ones. Great way to break no a little colour int the kitchen.
