Organza Hearts

These are some machine embroidery organza hearts that I made for Emelie. I hope she likes them to use on her dining room table just kind of sprinkled around as part of her centerpiece. I’ve made her the snowflakes (shown earlier this month) as well as some fall leaves. She asked if I could make seasonal ones. I’m thinking of trying some poppies, butterflies, maybe some Easter eggs, and poinsettias.

Knitting Fish

I started by making a crochet fish wash cloth that Leslie thought was cute for baby Sonja. I’m not much for crocheting and wasn’t completely pleased with the result (top fish in picture). I then found a knit pattern on Ravelry, so decided to try it. Thought it was too big (bottom fish … didn’t even get an eye). Next, I sort of made up my own pattern (the center fish) which I like except that the star pattern wasn’t that easy to do trying to purl 3 together with cotton yarn that doesn’t like to stretch much, and wish I had used a brighter color. I’ll probably make at least one or two more to see if I can perfect something cute.

Knitting ...

Just finished this knit hat and cowl. It's a Birthday/Christmas gift for a friend. Only used 1 skein of yarn for both!

Fairy Calendar

Here is the actual calendar. The monthly fairies will be mailed to Iris at the end of each month in 2016 for her to start the new month. Behind the calendar is a pocket with stickers in it so she can add birthdays and holidays.
