Afghan for Valentin

Although this afghan is knit with chunky yarn on large needles, it seemed to take forever to finish. Well, it's finally done. It's for my grandson, Valentin, who is just 2 months old. It's quite large, so will be used more by his parents while cuddling him, I suppose, but as he grows bigger, my hope is that he will enjoy using it to wrap up in.

I've used this pattern and yarn many, many times (usually for prayer shawls), and I'm always pleased with the results.

Yarn: James C. Brett Marble Chunky
Color MC10 (no name for the color)
Approximately 4 1/2 balls (200 g.)
Needle size: 6 mm/US 10 (recommended on yarn label)
Cast on 184 stitches
Size: 59"x40"
Pattern: One row scarf pattern

(Modified, as I always cast on a multiple of 4 stitches +2 and slip the first stitch of each row before starting the pattern (K2, KTBL, P1) and then knit the last stitch.
