Here are a couple of 2017 UFOs which are now TGIFs ... (Thank God It's Finished).

The first one is a herringbone stitch scarf that will be donated to our local Project Linus. I don't know if it's too late for this year's cold season, but should be good for next. The yarn is Lion Brand Ice Cream which is a fine yarn (#2). The herringbone stitch is knit with needles at least 1 size larger than called for, so for this fine yarn, I used a size 6 needle. The pattern is "Men's Mini Herringbone Scarf" which has a nice edging that keeps this pattern from rolling.

This next scarf is for myself. It's made from some leftover yarn which I love, but, unfortunately it has been discontinued. This pattern is from Ravelry called Terribly Simple. It's only one row and makes a crescent shaped scarf. I was surprised and pleased at the way the ends curl. It seems to go very nicely with this lovely old peacock pin that I've had for years.
