Machine embroidery

I use my embroidery machine on many projects which also involve sewing, quilting and cross stitch. Here are a couple of in-the-hoop projects that are completely machine embroidery (with the small exception of hand stitching the freestanding lace pieces of the hats together).
 

 This is a Kreative Kiwi design (in the hoop 3D flower) that has two sizes which I nested together for a candle holder.

Iris and I made this shirt for Leslie for her birthday. It was Iris' idea to make one after Leslie had seen a Life is Good shirt that she wanted. We made a sample on an old white t-shirt which was a learning experience. The one for Leslie stitched out perfectly.

Storm at Sea quilt wall hanging

Sea of Love

The Storm at Sea quilt pattern has always fascinated me and has been on my bucket list for some time. I thought making it into a February (Valantine) wall hanging would be nice, and I'm loving it! For quilting, I stitched in the ditch around the heart shapes and then free motion quilted our signatures in the bottom corners for additional quilting in those areas. All the fabrics are batiks.
