Cross stitch birthday card

For Emelie

I made this cross stitch birthday card from an Amanda Butler chart for Cross Stitch magazine.

Emelie's Eugene Quilt

This is Emelie's "Eugene Quilt". She pieced the blocks when she lived in Eugene but never found the time to finish it. I volunteered to finish it for her. She may want to use it for a wall hanging, but I didn't put any hanging loops on it yet, as I didn't know which direction she would want it to hang. It's quilte large, so a regular dowel probably wouldn't be the way to go. I'll need to discuss it with her. The finished quilt is a birthday gift, and I also want to discuss a label with her. I think she finished the piecing before she got married and changed her name, so perhaps that should be taken into consideration. Or maybe she won't want a label at all.

Memorial Quilt

I just need to finish packing this quilt to mail to the family. Our Stitching Club made this quilt in memory of Chris Groce who did the Creative U presentations at Pacific Fabrics in our area for years. She is missed!

The blocks were created by different individuals of the group using a focus fabric in each block. I then pieced the blocks together with the sashing and sandwiched it with backing and batting. Kathy did the quilting; Barb finished the binding; and Gina made the label.

We hope this will be a meaningful gift to the family. They are welcome to donate it to a charity if they so wish.

This is the card that was sent to the family with the quilt.

We got a heartfelt thank you from the family.

Shamrock ornaments

These shamrock ornaments are finally done and packed away till March. The machine embroidery designs are Ornamental Shamrocks from DesignsbyJuJu.com.

Machine embroidery key tag

I found this machine embroidery key tag on Etsy at SugarBeachDesigns. It's the perfect tag for our travel trailer keys. I stitched it on some vinyl left over from the spare tire cover.

French press cozy

Here's a French press cozy I made for the lake. I love French press coffee!

Painted rock

This gorgeous rock was painted for me by a friend. She's such a beautiful person as well as artist. I'll be using this as a napkin weight at the lake. Love it! Thank you Debbie!
