Seahawks crafting

In preparation for the Seattle Seahawks playing in Super Bowl LX, I made myself a cowl with yarn I've had for a while. I also made a Seahawks patch for Merwin's sweatshirt.

Big Twist Afghan

This afghan was made with Big Twist Party yarn from Joanns. I used seven 3.5 oz. skeins and size 8 needles. I cast on about 190 stitches and used a one-row pattern (Sl1 PW, *K2, K1TBL, P1* repeat to last stitch, K1). This pattern is so easy I can knit it while visiting or at meetings.

This spiral infinity scarf was made with leftover yarn from a sweater I had knit for Valentin ended up being Leslie's birthday present.

Knitting ~ Comfort Shawl

I finished this shawl in February. It will most likely be a comfort shawl at some point. I used some leftover yarn: Caron Jumbo yarn (#4 weight) ~ Color "Country Basket" ~ Size 8 needles. I used about 16 oz. The shawl measured about 52" long, but I would rather have it 60". Next time I'll measure better before binding off, but I was riding in the car. I used a decorative bind off and then matched it on the beginning end.

Afghan knitting

I made these two afghans for myself to replace some older ones.  I used Premier Puzzle yarn for both of these. The teal one was Color #1050-18 (Dominos).  I don't know what the blue color is called. I used one of my favorite ripple patterns.

Knit tropical shawls

 I knit three of these shawls. The first one I gave to my sister-in-law, Phyllis. Her daughters, Kim and Chanda, both loved it, so I made them each one. (2022)
