Birth record

And here's the framed birth record. I had Emelie help pick out what she wanted for the matting and frame. (Blocked out last name, date and location of birth for privacy.)

Baby bibs

I'm really enjoying my embroidery machine and especially applique. Here are a couple bibs I made for Sonja, but decided the smaller one is probably too small for her at this point. I may give it to a friend for her "Hope Chest" or send it to Iris for a doll bib. I probably have lots of time to fill my friend's "Hope Chest".

Birthday card (pressed flowers)

I made this greeting card for a friend's birthday. I didn't have time to stitch a CCS motif, so I decided to use some pressed flowers together with a decoupage technique.

Birthday card

It feels like Christmas as I scramble to finish up gifts and cards for my friends and family for April birthdays. Here is a CCS greeting card made with a chart offered free on the internet.

Cross stitch "Dog Lessons for People" market bag

I'm happy to have finished this CCS motif by Lizzie Kate in time to make this market bag and have it ready to mail to Leslie for her birthday. With her living in Alaska, it's necessary to mail a little earlier to be sure it arrives in time.

Knit Bunny Blanket Buddy and knit scarf from 2014

Here's my latest knitting finish. I actually made two Bunny Blanket Buddies for my baby granddaughters for Easter. The lavender one apparently hopped away to Alaska before I got a picture of it.  This is a free pattern from Lion Brand, but the yarn I used was Red Heart Buttercup. It was hard to do the facial features with this fluffy yarn, but it's very cuddly.

I made this scarf in 2014 and just kept it in my gift closet. When I was in Alaska, Iris (age 6) liked the scarf pin I was wearing and wanted one. When I found this little heart pin at a recent sewing expo, I thought it would be cute for her so brought it home and contemplated what to make to go with it. Then I discovered the scarf in the gift closet. It's quite small, so I thought it would be perfect with the pin and not too big for a child to wear. I sent them to Iris for Easter. She goes to a private school where their "uniform" is plain colored shirts with no embellishment, so perhaps she will have fun embellishing her plain shirts when she's not in school.

Machine embroidery organza poppies for table scatter

Stopping by with a little show-and-tell ... I finished these machine embroidery poppies to send to Emelie for her dining room table.
